I have reached out to Nicalis, but am still waiting for a reply, the best advice i can give is if your game crashes, disconnect from xbox live (or just refuse the cloud to sync data) and check your save files. Afterwards I spent the next 5-6 hours on customer support, with absolutely no help. Right click on the game in your Steam client, go to 'Properties', 'Local Files', 'Browse Local Files.' Enter the 'resources' folder. After installing Afterbirth, make sure to get rid of all Rebirth mods. This might be caused by leftover Rebirth mods. this, from my experience at least, prevents steam cloud from working and should allow you to do a. This happened because as my game was crashing, my xbox decided that, that moment was the best time to save to cloud storage. Afterbirth crashes/glitches on startup, Rebirth ran fine. if it still doesnt run, open the file location of isaac (right click it in steam, click properties, click local files and click browse files, then go up a directory), and rename 'The Binding of Isaac Rebirth' to anything else. After 100% Rebirth (300 hours) and having put about 20 hours into afterbirth, i was ready to headbutt my wall. But as i got back on the game, i came to realize that all my saved data was deleted, sending me back to the beginning. As this happens occasionally on all xbox one games, i thought nothing of it. So, yesterday i was playing the binding of Isaac Afterbirth, and abruptly the game crashed kicking me from the game.
